3. Endometriosis
Many women discover they have endometriosis long before trying to conceive. Endometriosis occurs when scar tissue grows on the outside of the uterus. This condition is often discovered when women see their gynecologist for painful periods. Doctors are still unclear as to why women with endometriosis have difficulty getting pregnant, but it is one of the leading causes of infertility.
