6. PCOS
Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, or PCOS, can cause women to have painful and irregular menstrual periods. These irregular menstrual cycles can lead to difficulties with predicting ovulation. PCOS can also cause a woman to be infertile as the follicles in the ovaries can fill with fluid and hinder the release of eggs. Many women with PCOS are able to achieve pregnancy after seeking infertility treatment and often only have to take medication to help regulate ovulation.
