6. Swelling
Swelling is a symptom seen most often in men, although women can experience it as well. Chlamydia can cause testicles to swell. According to the Mayo Clinic, testicular swelling may be the result of epididymitis, a potential complication of chlamydia. The infection can also spread to the anus, causing it to swell painfully. Although not very common, some women experience some swelling in their vagina when they have chlamydia.
