10 Best Methods of Birth Control

7. The Ring

The ring is worn in the vagina for three weeks at a time (you take it out when you’re on your period). The hormones released by the ring stop ovulation from occurring. Some women say that they can feel the ring or it falls out easily. That usually means it’s not inserted correctly. Don’t be shy about pushing it in as far as you can. Keep track of how long you’ve been wearing each ring, and change it on time. You can take it out for short periods of time, but no longer than three hours at once.
