4. Standard Days Method
For this method to work, your cycles need to be regular, occurring every 26 to 32 days. During each cycle, you will avoid unprotected intercourse between days eight and 19. To track your cycles, there are beads that help you to see when you are fertile. The different bead colors tell you when intercourse is safe or unsafe. When you use this method correctly, the effectiveness is about 95 percent. If you have intercourse on the days the beads say you are fertile, you should use additional natural birth control, such as lambskin condoms.
