People engaged in high-risk behavior should always check for a sore throat that doesn’t seem to go away. A review of studies on Human Immunodeficiency Virus found evidence to support that sore throat is one of the early signs of the condition – one that occurs after about a week of infection. That accompanied by an unusual headache should be notified to the physician immediately.
