4. Rash
Perhaps the most common symptoms of second stage syphilis is a rash. Referred to as a secondary syphilis skin rash, this symptom is actually difficult to identify. The rash is not necessarily highly visible and it is not always significantly itchy. This rash can occur on the hands, feet, or on other parts of the body. Despite the difficulty in immediate identification, this symptom very commonly occurs between two and ten weeks after the initial symptoms appear. It should be noted that while the full-body rash is common among those who have syphilis, it is typically the hand or foot rash that is a tell-tale symptom of the infection.
