Most doctors will suggest other routes of medication or procedures before suggesting a hysterectomy. Some of these alternatives include less invasive surgeries, while others are merely trying newer medicines to help to alleviate any symptoms. In many cases, a hysterectomy is the last case option because of the fact that it is such a majorly invasive surgery.
