7. Recovery
The recovery for each type of hysterectomy is different. For a total abdominal hysterectomy, the recovery period is usually between 6 to 8 weeks. A vaginal hysterectomy, typically takes 2 weeks to recover from. A laparoscopic hysterectomy, the least invasive of the three, is generally less than 2 weeks recovery time. Of course, every woman is different and hysterectomy recovery time periods can vary person to person.
