According to Planned Parenthood, trichomoniasis is a sexually transmitted parasite that infects the genitals. It is important to note that the infection is passed by vulva contact as well as through intercourse, or shared use of sex toys. Signs of trichomoniasis can go unnoticed for years and often times there are no symptoms at all. Two consenting adults should be free to enjoy an active sex life. 1. Vaginal Discharge Odor
Nine times out of ten, vaginal discharge is normal. If it is odor free and clear to milky white then this is a normal color. However, if you are experiencing green, brown or any other color, with or without odor, you should contact your doctor to discuss your symptoms as this is a warning sign that you may have trichomoniasis.
