Osteoporosis – 10 Things You Need to Know

2. Symptoms and Causes

There are a few telltale signs of osteoporosis you can keep an eye out for. The first and most obvious one is the ease in which your bones fracture. Secondly, is a gradual loss of height and/or a stooped posture and back pain. Osteoporosis is caused by bone mass production deteriorating as you age (peaking in your 30’s). If your body built a substantial amount of bone mass in your youth, then the bone mass you lose as you age will be less likely to lead to osteoporosis.
