Do you experience persistent UTIs? However, this blockage by fistula most often occurs with males. Females have the uterus in between the bladder and the colon as a sort of barrier. In addition to UTIs, diverticulitis can cause other irritative urinary issues. These include the likes of an increased frequency in urination, urinary pain, vaginal discharge, and a decrease in control and urinary retention.
