10. Bed Rest
No matter the severity of your diverticulitis, bed rest is required. For mild cases, bed rest is often the best method of treatment. In certain cases it may be necessary to take time off work to recover. The amount of bed rest depends on the severity of the symptoms. Living with diverticulitis can be almost debilitating. Consult with a doctor to decide the proper amount of rest.
