Testicular Torsion – 8 Things You Should Know

8. Recovery from Testicular Torsion

Surgery is not always necessary. Sometimes it’s a preventative measure. Regardless, there are a few things to keep in mind for your recovery. Whether you have the testicles attached to the scrotal wall or you’ve had a testicle removed, you’ll need a few weeks for recovery. You may need to take pain medication for a couple days and take time off school or work. Physical activity should be avoided during recovery. Make sure you get plenty of rest, but also try to walk a little each day to encourage blood flow. Most importantly, good luck!
