There is no such thing as an at-home cure for this or any other STI. Do not attempt to treat yourself and do not assume that the infection has gone away because you have tried an at-home remedy. Visit your doctor right away to seek treatment. Treatment can be administered in the form of pills or shots. If you are found to test positive for this illness, you are legally obligated to inform any of your previous partners that may be at risk for contracting this. Call them right away and be incredibly honest about the symptoms and when you think you contracted it. Although there is a harsh stigma surrounding STI’s, protecting yourself and your sexual partners is more important and should be your absolute top priority. Remember- there is nothing to be ashamed of and making sure that you and all of your partners are clean will help to stop more serious and possibly fatal side effects down the road.
