10. Itchy Anus
Not only do the bacteria that causes gonorrhea spread to the urethra, throat, and genitals, they also camp out in the rectum. Rectal gonorrhea occurs from unprotected anal sex. The bacteria inflame the lining of the rectum and result in the itchy symptom. This type of anal itching is often confused with the symptoms of hemorrhoids. Soothe it with over-the-counter medication all you like but that itch plans to stick around until treated with antibiotics.
