3. Ouch! It Pains or Burns When You Pee
On top of you running to the porcelain throne more than you’re willing to, it pains or burns when you pee. Gonorrhea bacteria causes inflammation of the genital area, e.g., the vulva, and the urinary tract. The vulva or tissues at the entrance of the vagina may appear red, swollen or irritated. It can become further irritated when you wipe, use vaginal products such as a feminine wash, or have sex. So if you “ouch” while urinating, gonorrhea may very well be the culprit.
