8. Bleeding During or After Sex
In addition to pain, some women may bleed during or after sex. Once again, due to inflammation of the vagina and cervix the tissues around these parts can become swollen and inflamed. The unusual bleeding may also result from PID when gonorrhea goes untreated for a long time. Some women may even notice blood in their vaginal discharge. Your doctor will do a vaginal examination to determine if the bleeding is due to this bacterial infection.
