9. Annoying Throat Itch
Gonorrhea may be transmitted through oral sex. The infection can grow and spread in the throat causing soreness and itchiness of the throat. Unlike sore throat or itch associated with the common cold and flu, this particular symptom of gonorrhea does not go away with over-the-counter medication. The drug may ease the pain or soreness but ultimately, treatment with antibiotics is necessary. Your doctor will be able to tell if your symptoms are due to gonorrhea.
