3. Abnormal Vaginal Discharge
Some vaginal discharge is normal. It the body’s natural method of protecting and cleansing the vagina. It is common to experience increased discharge with ovulation and sexual arousal. Emotional stress, birth control pills, and exercise may also lead to discharge. However, abnormal discharge can be an indication of infection and is one of the common STD symptoms in women. This infection may or may not be sexual in nature. Discharge that has a foul smell, or is gummy, green, yellow, or chunky could be an indication of Gonorrhea, Trichomoniasis, or chlamydia.
