Blood Clot Symptoms: 10 Warning Signs

Medical Anatomy Blood Cells Health Red Medicine

5. Redness

A symptom that usually, accompanies swelling is redness. If you have a blood clot in your arm or leg, your skin may appear red. The color won’t be exclusively red, but it will be in the red/pink family.  As well, if the skin on your arm or leg is red, the skin may also feel warm to the touch. Be mindful though, as redness alone is not enough to guarantee a blood clot in your leg. Instead, watch for the other symptoms we’ve mentioned, like sensitivity and swelling, in conjunction with the discoloration. If the redness persists and you aren’t sure if you might have a blood clot, book a visit to your doctor, a walk-in clinic, or, if you’re very worried, the hospital.
