2. Sensations similar to tingling
Sometimes with herpes, people report a kind of itching sensation around the genitals or anus. This is usually best described as a kind of tingling sensation. People also report feeling as though water is dripping on them. If you have this sensation, or something similar, it could be a sign of the herpes virus. This is especially concerning if you have any other visible, physical symptoms paired with this, if you do then it could be a sign of an active outbreak and you should consider getting tested right away.
